We are the Pop Rocks jump rope team from Troy, Ohio. We are a halftime act during high school and college basketball games. Jump rope, tumbling and elements of dance come together into a high-energy choreographed routine. We have performed for Ohio State University, Michigan State, University of Louisville, the Harlem Globetrotters, Purdue University, Butler University, the University of Dayton, West Virginia University and more.

Pop Rocks tryouts schedule and parent meeting


If your child is planning to try out for the team or is thinking about trying out for the team, at least one parent/legal guardian is required to attend a mandatory information session. The parent meeting will include an overview of what to expect during tryouts and what to expect if your child is selected for the team. Attendance is required or special arrangements must be made with Mr. Oakes if attendance is not possible due to work schedules, travel, etc.

TIME/LOCATION: Wednesday, April 20, 2016: 6:30-7:30 p.m., Van Cleve cafeteria. Enter Van Cleve at the gymnasium lobby entrance and proceed through the gym to the cafeteria


All practices, tryouts at the Van Cleve gym

Monday April 25th -- 4:00 until 6:00 p.m.

Wednesday April 27th -- 4:00 until 6:00 p.m.

Friday April 29th -- 4:00 until 6:00 p.m.

Monday May 2nd -- 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. (final tryout times will be selected/assigned)

All dates, times and locations are subject to change based on gymnasium availability and a number of other factors. Communications would be made for any necessary changes at the parent meeting or via Facebook, our web site and other communication methods.
